<p><span class="caps">GLOW</span> is the spectacular finale to hr1, an eighteen-month dance project taking place across Herefordshire and inspired by London 2012.</p> <p>The Warm-Up: Glow kicks off with a festival style afternoon event fizzing with dance to see and do. <p>The Drum in partnership with Perry Barr Arts Forum presents an unforgettable day of performances across 4 live arenas from internationally acclaimed Jamaican reggae superstars and UK-based artists. Scattered through the attractive surroundings of Handsworth Park there will be a range of arts and dance workshops, plus an exciting array of craft and food stalls. Building on the success of last year’s festival this free event will offer something for everyone – so come and join the Carnival vibe.</p> <p>Featured as part Simmer Down Festival taking place in Handsworth Park this summer, a Breathe the Beat Roadshow will offer a spectacular stage of free dance performances, including appearances from two of the UK’s leading street dancers &#8211; Brooke and Roxy from 2011 Hip Hop International World Champions Plague Dance Crew, and showcases from local talent, youth and community groups, professional dance companies, and music from DJ Moyma.
